About Mòpyon.net

Mòpyon.net is an independent website made for the game that Haitian students have played on notebook paper for generations, five in a row, known in Haiti as Mòpyon.

What we do

We build a free place to play Mòpyon online: against friends, against strangers from Haiti and the diaspora, and against computer opponents of every level. The site also offers puzzles, strategy guides, rated games, tournaments, clubs and weekly department leagues.

What we care about

• Kreyòl first. Every part of the site is written in Kreyòl, French and English.
• Phones first. Most of our players use a phone, often on a slow connection, so the site is built to be light.
• Fair play. Online games are decided on our server, and we check games for computer help.
• Respect for privacy. We collect as little as possible and never sell personal data.

How the site is paid for

Playing is free. The site is supported by advertising, by local sponsors, by players who choose Mòpyon VIP, and by donations. These pay for servers and for new features.
